How do I calculate my CLB and CRS points from my scores?
Use this simple method: find the CLB band each of your four scores reaches, then take the lowest band — that is your CLB. Your CLB then converts to CRS language points (a single applicant earns more points per CLB band as the band rises). The biggest jumps come at CLB 9.

Worked example: scores of L80 / R79 / W84 / S82 reach CLB 9 in Listening, Reading and Speaking — but Writing (84) only reaches CLB 8. Because your CLB is your lowest skill, your overall CLB is 8, not 9. Lifting Writing from 84 to 88 would move you to CLB 9 and unlock a meaningful CRS jump.
