Pearson's scoring engine assesses your whole test, including integrated tasks that count towards more than one skill - so the overall is not a simple average of your four modules.

How do I convert my PTE score to IELTS?

Use the official Pearson alignment, and note each skill converts on its own scale. As an overall guide, PTE 79-85 = IELTS 8.0, PTE 71-78 = IELTS 7.5, PTE 63-70 = IELTS 7.0.

What PTE score do I need for Superior English (20 PR points)?

Superior English means IELTS 8 in each skill. On PTE Academic that is Listening 69, Reading 70, Speaking 88 and Writing 85 - not a flat 79.
